Teacher Education

The associate’s degrees in Teacher Education are designed to allow for a seamless transfer to four-year institutions for a bachelor’s degree in education. Both the elementary and secondary concentrations will put you on-track to become a licensed educator. Use our classrooms to help you learn the teacher skills you’ll need in your own classroom. Our faculty are specially trained and ready to prepare you for an exciting and fulfilling career building the next generation of great minds. While most graduates transfer on for a bachelor’s degree, completion of the associate’s degree will let you work as either an educational assistant or a substitute teacher in the New Mexico public school system.
