Students, staff, faculty and community will have chance to meet Dr. Sabrina Ezzell and provide valuable input
GALLUP, N.M. ― The University of New Mexico-Gallup is in the process of hiring a new chancellor and is giving students, staff, faculty and community members the opportunity to get involved.
The UNM-Gallup Chancellor Search Advisory Committee has recommended to advance candidate Dr. Sabrina Ezzell to the on-campus interview process. Ezzell has been serving as the interim chancellor of the branch campus since July 1.
Ezzell previously worked as a nursing faculty member, the director of the Nursing Program, and the chair of the Education, Health and Human Services Division at UNM-Gallup. She has worked at UNM-Gallup since 2015 and has lived in the Gallup-McKinley County area since the late 1990s.
Ezzell holds a doctorate in education from Creighton University, a Master of Science in nursing with a specialization in public health from Northern Arizona University, and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from The University of New Mexico.
The Chancellor Search Advisory Committee, in consultation with UNM Provost James Holloway, has developed an interview schedule to allow various constituents the opportunity to meet with Ezzell and provide valuable input to the provost.
UNM-Gallup will host three chancellor candidate forums this week — one for students, one for staff and faculty, and one for community members.
The student forum is scheduled for 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in room 200 of the Student Services and Technology Center (SSTC 200). The forum will be available via Zoom: https://unm.zoom.us/j/94711928458.
The staff and faculty forum is scheduled for 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in SSTC 200 and will also be available via Zoom: https://unm.zoom.us/j/93567556088.
The community forum is scheduled for 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, in SSTC 200 and will also be available via Zoom: https://unm.zoom.us/j/99353891749.
