Join the UNM-Gallup Zollinger Library for upcoming April events.

Zollinger Game Night

On Tuesday, April 5th at 4:00 p.m., Zollinger Library will be hosting a game night. Play one of our new games with friends. We have Scrabble, Backgammon, Chinese Checkers, and more. We also have puzzles and brainteasers to enjoy alone or with friends. The event is open to everyone. For questions please call 505-863-7531 or email markos@unm.edu.

Twinkie Day

On Wednesday, April 6th celebrate National Twinkie Day at Zollinger Library. Did you know Twinkies first came out in 1930? Checkout something from the library or correctly answer our Twinkie trivia question and get a free Twinkie. First come, first serve while supplies last. Poetry Party Night

On Wednesday, April 13th at 5:00 p.m., Zollinger Library will host a Poetry Party to celebrate National Poetry Month. Join local published poets for a poetry celebration that will include guest speakers and interactive experiences. Bring your original poetry or your favorite poem to read aloud. Weaponizing History: Russia's Invasion of Ukraine

On Tuesday, April 19th at 5:00 p.m., Zollinger Library will host a talk with Matthew D. Mingus, Associate Professor of History at the University of New Mexico-Gallup. On the 24th of February, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. This brief talk will discuss the rationale behind this invasion, what it means for Europe, NATO, and the United States, and how Vladimir Putin's aggressive foreign policy relates to the Second World War, the Cold War, and the collapse of the Soviet Union. Super Smash Bash

On Thursday, April 21st witness the grand finale of the Asian Culture Club Gaming Tournament. Zollinger library will host the tournament finals on the big screen in our atrium. Come and cheer for your favorite competitor and see who will be the last Super Smash Fighter standing. Watch in person or LIVE on the Zollinger Facebook page. Zollinger Library is not running the tournament, so all tournament questions will need to be directed to the UNM-G Asian Culture Club.

April Films: Oscar Worthy!

Join Zollinger Library for our April Film Series every Thursday night at 4:00 p.m. This month we are screening Oscar Worthy films. The film screenings are free and open to all students and staff as well as the community. For questions please call 505-863-7531 or email markos@unm.edu.
