Serve Your Community. Build Your Future. Train Close to Home.
The University of New Mexico-Gallup is launching a new Law Enforcement Academy designed to meet the region's critical need for well-trained, community-centered police officers.
The UNM-Gallup Law Enforcement Academy aims to improve community policing, partnerships, and culturally informed training for the region.
Do you have a desire to help people in moments that matter most?
Police officers often meet people on the worst days of their lives. Many officers are drawn to the chance to; provide immediate help, protect vulnerable individuals, and offer calm in chaotic situation.
For people who don’t want a desk job, thrive in a mix of unpredictability and responsibility, law enforcement offers; variety (no two days are the same), problem-solving challenges, physical activity, and team-based work.
