Funeral services for Lorraine Askan Hood, 67, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Cope Memorial Chapel, Gallup. The Rev. Ted Farris officiated. Her final resting place is a family plot in Little Water, Utah. Lorraine passed away on October 31, 2019, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was born November 30, 1951, in Laramie, Wyoming.
Lorraine graduated from Aztec High School. Received a dental assistant certification from the Parks School of Business in Littleton, Colorado, and received an Associate's Degree in Computer Science at the University of New Mexico-Gallup.
Lorraine was employed with Church Rock Head Start and later with the University of New Mexico-Gallup in Information Technology for over 31 years.
Lorraine loved reading, solving various puzzles, crocheting, coloring, and fishing.
She is survived and missed dearly by her husband of 48 years, Tony Hood, sons Jeremy Hood, and Anthony Hood, daughters Stephanie Hood, and Angelia Hood, and five grandchildren, Kylee, Matt, Desi, Nola, and Damien. She was preceded in death by her mother Alice Askan and father Percy Askan.
