October 11, 2021 - This week’s offering is a proprietary collection of Very Short Introductions from the Oxford University Press. Originally published in print, the collection numbers 682 EBook titles, each with respective tables of contents, indexing, cross-linking to sources cited and to other online databases. Visitors may take an Online Tour, or if one prefers to browse, by clicking on the Browse by Subject tab. To view all 682 titles, one may expand the directory by clicking on the Browse All link found at the bottom right-hand corner of the resulting Subject Directory. If you are off-campus the interface will prompt you for your net ID and network password.

The addition of this product to the library’s collection is very useful to students during the initial stages of developing a research topic. Faculty might also assign specific chapters as course readings or the curious might just randomly choose a title to visit.

The Library also provides access to the Online Oxford English Dictionary and to an Oxford collection of Academic Journals.

Every month or so, the library will share a listing of new videos that we have received in the library. We've linked each one to the Internet Movie Database record so you might consider checking up to two titles. These will be held behind the circulation desk for a week or so before being placed in the Library video area.
