Ray Padilla retirement announcement

Our gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Police Officer Ray Padilla for his 38 years in law enforcement and service to UNM-Gallup. Effective on July 24th, he will be retiring to spend time with his family. "I have truly enjoyed working for the University of New Mexico's Gallup branch," he said. "It has been a great experience. God bless you all."

PRE-REGISTRATION AVAILABLE FOR COVID-19 TESTING AT UNM-GALLUP:

The New Mexico Department of Health is conducting COVID-19 testing Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays through the month of July at UNM-Gallup's Lions Hall Parking Lot.

New this week is an announcement from the NMDOH that pre-registration is available and preferred for testing. To register, visit cvtestreg.nmhealth.org. You will be able to select your test date-and will then receive a test confirmation ID to bring with you to the testing site.

ZOLLINGER LIBRARY CURBSIDE PICKUP AVAILABLE 7/1

Curbside pickup from the Zollinger Library is available starting Wednesday, July 1. It's important to follow the procedures listed on the library's online request form. Pickup will be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A Hotspot request form is also available for curbside pickup. Wifi Hotspot Request Form

WI-FI ACCESS REMINDER:

A quick reminder that Wi-Fi access is available at GMCS facilities located throughout McKinley County with your UNM NetID. Several locations have been added over the past month, so please be sure to view the updated map linked here: https://www.anyroam.net/node/6609. To access Wi-Fi in these GMCS facility parking lots, students will connect to EDUROAM with their UNM NetID and password.

A new project started by the UNM Department of Individual, Family, & Community Education will explore thoughts, ideas, and resources amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is called 'Wellbeing at School and at Home in New Mexico' and includes a bi-weekly publication that will focus on counseling, educational psychology, family and child studies, and nutrition.

In some good news, we have reopened our fitness trail! Many thanks to our facilities management team for their work over the weekend to make this possible. For COVID-19 safe practices, please do not use the trail's fitness equipment, practice social distancing, and limit your group size. Also as a reminder, no pets are allowed on the trail. This is a great community resource-especially during these summer months-as more of our friends and neighbors enjoy outdoor spaces to walk and run.

As outlined in the State of New Mexico's COVID-Safe Practices for all employers, the main and branch campuses are implementing a daily screening process for all employees. Each day, you will receive an email from ITweb@unm.edu asking if you are planning on coming to campus that day, and if so, if you are experiencing any symptoms that can be associated with COVID-19. All employees are required to respond to this request each day. Please continue to coordinate any planned visits to campus.

If you need to have access to a campus building, please work directly with your supervisor within 24 hours of the time/date you need access.
